I'm Back and a question reg. Suppliments

Postby Ludendorff on Wed Jul 09, 2008 11:11 pm

Hey Bas, sorry I moved to a different province and stopped the program for about a month and a half. However I started it again almost 2 weeks ago and I am going to be stymarting a 2 week growth phase soon. I must say I am feeling much tighter, especially my upper arms and shoulder and lats. Also my mucsle doesn't seem to "hang" off my bones anymore. And I actually have a little definition when I flex in a mirror now. My wife has even noticed a difference with only about a months training. (even thougbh there was a 2 month break)

I have a question regarding Vanadyl Sulphate. The owner of the Gym I joined has told me it was old school garbage and has recommended something he thinks is better. It is called N.O.-Xplode. Have you heard of it and what are your thoughts on it?

Also he recommended a thermogenic fat burner for me, it's called MX-LS7 by iSatori. Your thoughts? I take one in the morning when I get up and 2 before a workout each time with a full glas of water.

Best Regards,

AJ

Hi AJ

Regarding your question about Vanadyl Sulfate, I would refer you to a double blind placebo study done by the National Institute For Biotechnology, investigating the effects of Vanadyl Sulafate. See it here:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8781301

The key phrase to focus on is in the concluding statement, "We conclude that VS at the dose used was well tolerated and resulted in modest reductions of fasting plasma glucose and hepatic insulin resistance."

In other words there is an acceleration of glucose conversion in the blood stream when taking vanadyl. The test subjects in this case were undoubtedly effected by their use of vanadyl and that is how I have held to my position. It has diminished in popularity mainly because marketing vanadyl has been harder to do, since it is not a quick fix supplement. It assists in glucose metabolisation, which a lot of people just don't get and it doesn't give you an artificial pump or energy high.

NO Explode is just another quick pump creatine supplement. I am all for creatine, but this supplement is just more hype as it is no different from any other creatine brand on the market. This guy that advised you obviously doesn't know the difference between what vanadyl sulfate does and what the supplement he is telling you to take does. He is bragging it up because of the quick blast of energy and pump it gives, without knowing the difference between the two.

That said, It may very well be that there are conflicting studies on Vanadyl Sulfate, but I am not familiar with them.

I'll get back to you on the fat burner, as my wife and kids are waiting for me.

Cheers,
Sebastian out...
