I recently got this question from someone who seems to be doing well with increasing their weight. However, it is also good to point out that a person needs to be sure of their healthy before making major dietary adjustments.
Here is the question:
i just purchased your naturally massive e-book and was wondering, I've put on a lot of weight by eating A LOT and and keeping it pretty healthy. for example ill have oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, maybe a bowl of cereal, and a weight gain protein shake for breakfast, and about 2 hours later i get kind of like a burning feeling in my stomach, so it makes me want to eat more to get rid of that burning feeling, so what exactly is happening to my stomach when it kind of burns or feels weird. And also during the primer phase your telling me to eat alot less but high in protein meals,so If i get that burning when i eat huge amounts of food, wont it happen more intensely when i eat less food? Is it a good thing that my stomach feels like that, and is that kind of what the primer pahase is trying to do? Also do you recommend taking any N.O products during any of these phases. Thanks for your help.

Hello,
It is hard to make an assesment of your eating routine without knowing your current weight and body fat level. However, you should be applying the forumla given in the book to ensure you aren't eating too much. The sample diets are based around a 200lb male's body weight. If you are eating more than this and you weight a lot less, then you are verging on eating too much.
As for the burning sensation in your stomach, it is hard to say. Some people describe natural hunger pains as a "burning sensation", which is natural. The stomach does expand as more food is consumed and you appetite will expand with it.
The concern I would have is if the burning sensation you describe is more in line with a stomach ulcer or gastric disorder. These can sometimes cause people to feel they need to eat to sooth the burning sensation when what they really need is to see their doctor. Sometimes a person may not realize these problems until they change their diet, at which point the adjustment can make a pre-existing problem become more apparent.
I would suggest that you monitor this closely. If you find you are gaining more than 3 to 4 pounds a week on the Growth Phase and not dropping around 2 pounds a week on the Primer Phase then you will need to make an adjustment. That burning sensation (unless you are describing natural hunger pains) could be causing you to over load the food.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Sebastian
