Food to nix

If you're not on any of the programs I associated with me, but still have questions about your diet in general. Here is where you may find a few answers to those general questions.

Food to nix

I had sashimi (sushi without the riceball) for lunch today. But I told the guy to hold the side of rice and substitute it with beansprouts and carrot. Did I make the correct choice? I hear carrot contains high carbs and beansprouts well I have no idea.

I guess it depends on the amount of carbohydrate you are consuming at other times of the day. The rice is not a bad idea if you are already moderate to low with your carbs. After all, you do need some carbohydrate in your diet.

As for the carrot, they do tend to be a little higher in natural sugars than some other high non-soluable vegetables, but generally speaking the increase is neglegable and should not stop you from having them as part of your regular daily diey. They are still very low caloricly and a great way to feel full without adding a lot of starch to your plate.
